A self-referential interactive demo where five Severance-inspired blob characters discuss the very software project they exist inside.
Bondlets is my most conceptually playful project. Five colourful blob creatures — named after characters from Severance — sit on an isometric game board having scripted conversations about a software project. The twist? The project they're discussing is the application you're looking at.
When Bill says "The sprites are done," his sprite is what you're seeing. When Marcus says "The Kanban board is working," the Kanban board is live on the next page. The characters are building the very thing they exist inside.
Each character has a distinct personality: Irving is by-the-book, Dylan is the pragmatist, Helly is the newcomer who doesn't remember arriving, Mark is the team lead, and Burt is the veteran who remembers things the others have forgotten. Voices are powered by ElevenLabs text-to-speech with Animal Crossing-style chatter as fallback.
The dashboard plays it completely straight — sprint progress, task counts, team photos. The Kanban board tracks real story points. It starts as a normal morning standup, then Helly starts asking questions about what came before... and things get existential.
