Who I am
About
I'm a full-stack developer based in Bristol, working remotely. A veteran in the industry, I've been creating software systems for decades — from NHS systems and fintech startups to building an autonomous AI development factory.
My main experiment right now is Gyrum — a system where AI agents with distinct personas design, build, test, and deploy software products autonomously. The agents follow Agile workflows, conduct code reviews, run retrospectives, and improve the pipeline themselves. The question being proven out: can the whole thing become a viable company, one shipped product at a time?
Along the way I've worked across Go, TypeScript, React, SvelteKit, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and more infrastructure than I can remember. I build with micro-services and micro-frontends, expose them over REST and GraphQL, and lean on hexagonal architecture so the core domain stays clean and the edges stay swappable. Some of the products are small and personal — like Buzzy, built to teach my kids about money.
Before all this: Dev Team Lead at Propel Finance, Principal Developer at AKE International, and a long journey from dBase to Go.
Currently
Professionally — Staff Engineer at Pismo, A Visa Company, building payments infrastructure at scale.
Personally — nights and weekends I'm building Gyrum, pushing the experiment further and shipping tools people actually use.
What lasts
The stack keeps changing; the concepts don't — it was never the syntax that mattered, it's the durable ideas underneath:
